Wendy Stone completed her Bachelor of Education Degree in 2007 through the University of KwaZulu-Natal, which she achieved with Summa Cum Laude. After teaching for five years as a Foundation Phase teacher, she decided to pursue a career in Psychology.

She completed her Honours Degree in Social Sciences (Psychology) in 2013 through the University of KwaZulu-Natal, graduating Summa Cum Laude.   Thereafter, she was selected for the Masters In Social Sciences Programme at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and was able to complete her Masters Degree in 2015, qualifying as an Educational Psychologist.

Wendy specialises in work with children, adolescents and  their families. Areas of psychological service include:

  • Educational Assessments
  • School Readiness Testing
  • Dyslexia Testing

An Educational Assessment includes cognitive testing (IQ) which provides a profile of individual strengths and weaker areas, as well as scholastic testing of reading, spelling, reading comprehension and mathematical skills. This will assist in the diagnosis of concentration-related difficulties, learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, as well as other barriers to learning.  Wendy is registered as a Dyslexia Testing Specialist with the Rooi Appel (Stark Griffin) Dyslexia Association.
